COPENHAGEN: Kevin De Bruyne scored the winning goal as Belgium beat Denmark 2-1 in Copenhagen just moments ago to advance to the Euro 2020 knockout stages.
The match also saw players and supporters at Parken Stadium show support for Christian Eriksen.
Yussuf Poulsen gave the hosts an early goal in the second minute but De Bruyne came off the bench after the first half to make his first appearance of the tournament after suffering an injury.
He channeled the ball for Thorgan Hazard to equalize before blasting his own net for his side’s victory.
The match was stopped after 10 minutes to give support to Eriksen who suffered a ‘cardiac arrest’ in the Danish match against Finland.
