Copa: Brazil Scores Winning Goal In The 100th Minute

Defending champions Brazil confirmed the top spot in Group B in a dramatic way after beating Colombia 2-1 in the controversial Copa America match in Rio de Janeriro today.

Colombia were clearly unhappy when Roberto Firmino’s 78th-minute equalizer came after the ball hit referee Nestor Pitana-who allowed the match to continue without stopping him for a ‘drop-ball’-and it sparked long protests from the Colombian camp.

Brazil then punished Colombia’s disappointment with Casemiro scoring the winning goal in the 10th minute of injury time for the Selecao squad extending their winning record to 10 games in a row.

Colombia missed the opportunity to end the Brazilian record despite leading 1-0 through a volley by Luis Diaz in the 10th minute.
